The Lands Ministry is working with some overseas investors to start a project which will see the search for minerals in deep sea.
Permanent Secretary, Maria Matavewa confirms work on the changes to the mining act is underway and this will give way for the project to start.
Matavewa adds an investor who is currently searching for minerals in Tonga waters is keen to start work in Fiji.
