A western landowner wants all the native land dealings to be in the Fijian language so that it is better understood by the landowners before they lease out their land.

Taukei Sawaieke Ratu Tevita Momoedonu said the problem is not in the utilization of land by other races but on how the 2 parties will come to agree on what needs to be done before the lease is issued.

Ratu Momoedonu said at times landowners often change their demand on what they want from the tenants who lease their land because they do not fully understand what they have agreed to in the first place.
