Some landlords are calling on the Prices and Incomes Board to lift the freeze placed on all property rentals.
Many landlords called on the talkback show on our sister station Radio Sargam yesterday afternoon complaining about financial difficulties arising from the freeze. Landlords complained about not being able to make loan repayments on time.
However, PIB officer Sujit Prakash explained that the freeze will only be lifted next year after an evaluation of the situation.
He said the freeze was placed on all property rentals due to the current situation in the country from March this year.
