Police have charged a landlord with attempted murder for allegedly stabbing his tenant after a dispute on Saturday afternoon.
Assistant Police Spokesperson, Corporal Josaia Weicavu confirms he has been charged and is expected to appear in the Nadi Court tomorrow morning.
The suspect was arrested in Ba yesterday.
The victim was at home with her 2 and 3 year old kids when the landlord came and demanded they move out of his house.
An argument developed and the landlord got hold of a Cane Knife and allegedly knifed the woman many times on her face, head and other parts of the body.
He also allegedly chopped off the woman’s three fingers and is still admitted in Lautoka Hospital.
