The land issue will continue to be a problem until the government of the day looks at how to improve the rent payment to landowners.
Speaking on the public forum for the draft People's Charter in Nausori on Tuesday night, Tevita Vakabalea said the proposal in the Charter to make land more accessible is not a problem with landowners, but the tenants and the government should also be accountable in paying the rent on time.
NCBBF team member Rupeni Silimaibau called on the landowners to be more involved with their land as this is also part of the Charter.
