These are the words of the Minister for Works Brigadier General Timoci Natuva at the commissioning of the Lami weighbridge today the first of a series of weighbridges that will not only bring in revenue from those who would flout the law, but in the process set Fiji on the path of ensuring better infrastructure for the travelling public.

Natuva said overloaded trucks have been an eyesore for a very long time, as traders try to milk what they can get out of their commercial vehicles to carry more cargo for hire profit, and this is will ensure truck owners follow the law.

The weighbridge cost $136,000 to construct.
