Police have arrested and charged a 34 year old villager of Lami for allegedly raping a 4 year old girl.
Police confirm that the alleged incident took place a week ago and the matter was reported to police when the victim relayed the incident to her mother.
The girl’s mother was bathing her when she complained of pains in her stomach and other parts of the body. Upon questioning the girl relayed the whole incident to her mother who then took the matter to police.
The suspect has been charged and has been remanded in custody.
