After a lapse of six years, the residents of Lami have revived the Lami Festival with the aim of improving the recreational facilities.
Organizing Committee member, Culden Kamea said while thirty business houses have come forward to assist them, they aim to raise more funds through a walk-a-thon to upgrade the Tikaram Park, the ports of Lami and to assist the sporting associations in Lami.
Kamea added one of the major attractions during the festival will be the "Uto Ni Yalo" which sailed through the Pacific in 90 days and the crew will share their experience on how the sailors survived during these days.
The Lami festival will be held at Tikaram Park this Saturday.
