New Zealand based netball rep Jacinta Lal is hoping to become the first Indo-Fijian to get a spot in the national team.
The 21-year-old who plays in the Wellington competition is in the country to attend the national trials for the World Cup today.
Lal knows that it will not be easy to be selected in the team but hopes that her experience in playing with some top players in the Silver Ferns team will be enough to win her a spot.
The netball trials will continue today at the Vodafone Arena and the 18-member squad for the World Cup in July will be named on Monday.
