While options are being looked at regarding the lack of space in mortuaries, the Health Ministry said people must collect the bodies of their loved ones for burial as the lack of space is becoming a problem.
Health Ministry Spokesperson Iliesa Tora said the problem is mainly in Lautoka and Suva as this is the location of two of the largest hospitals in the country.
He said the Lautoka hospital mortuary is full and has exceeded its capacity adding it has only 11 berths but it now has 17 bodies.
