The lack of funds limits the number of young children that will be able to access much needed heart surgery.
Chairman for the Fiji Children's Heart Foundation, Dr Poonsami Goundar said so far close to $1 million donated by the Vodafone ATH Foundation has seen them send 33 children overseas for treatment but many are still left to be treated.
Goundar said if the Children's Foundation had enough funding and aid, they would send close to five children each month.
Last month, three children from the West, Kadavu and Koronivia went to India for treatment and Goundar said they will be sending 4 children.
