The Fiji Nursing Association said that the fact their strike is now into its 9th day is an indication of the lack of leadership within the interim government.

Speaking to Village news this afternoon, FNA General Secretary Kuini Lutua maintains that it is not their strike action which has failed.

Lutua also said that their members will not back off and are prepared to remain on strike for as long as it takes.

According to the FNA, the Nurse Directors and Managers who are working are not giving the correct information in terms of the number of nurses who are still working and are also giving misleading reports on the operations of the hospitals and health centers.
