The Public Works Department in the Northern Division said the Labasa/Savusavu highway is now safe.
Road Supervisor Seaqaqa, Malakai Matakai said roadworks continue along the highway with engineers carefully inspecting the highway after it collapsed following heavy rain last month.
Matakai said heavy goods vehicles can use the by-pass road constructed around the collapsed section.
Meanwhile, local shipping operator, Consort Shipping cancelled its scheduled trips to Savusavu last week because of the road condition.
