The Labasa soccer team will be without some of its top players for the National Soccer League matches this week.
Misaele Draunibaka, Ilisoni Logaivou, Akuila Mataisuva, Ratu Tugi and Amani McCoy are part of the Under 20 team and will not be released.
These five players have been very instrumental for the Babasiga Lions last year and Labasa soccer officials are now trying their best to secure their release.
Fijivillage understands only those Under 20 players will be released to play for Labasa this week, who do not make the starting 11 for the Under 20s.
In the National Soccer League matches this week, Labasa plays Nadi at 7pm this Friday at Prince Charles Park and then play Suva on Sunday at 1.30pm at the TFL stadium.
