Labasa the first team to book semifinal spot
New Zealand based striker, Roy Krishna scored the classic goal in the first half after the Rewa defenders failed to clear the ball from inside their danger zone.
The win has put Labasa as Pool 1 leaders with 9 points and they will know their semifinal opponents after the pool game is finished this evening.
Goal scorer, Roy Krishna said that they respect all the team and they look forward to the semifinal.
For Rewa they will need to beat Nadroga and Lautoka today to stay in contention for a semifinal spot together with Ba.
In Pool 2 Suva, Savusavu, Navua and Tavua are still in the running for the semifinal spot.
Suva and Savusavu will face each other at 11.15am and for the capital city boys a win will see them in the semifinal.
Later this afternoon Navua and Tavua will play at 3.15pm and the winner qualifies for the semifinal.
The results from yesterday, Labasa edged Rewa 1-0, Ba defeated Lautoka 3-1, Nadi and Tavua played to a nil-all draw, Lautoka beat Nadroga 1-0 while Suva and Navua also ended in a nil-all draw.
