Hundreds of residents in Labasa are without water supply from this morning.

Water Supply spokesperson Maika Nagalu said power shutdown at Nabekavu borehole has caused extremely low water level at their reservoir.

According to Nagalu, residents of Wailevu, Qelewaqa, Bocalevu, Lajonia, Vaka-sigani and Labasa Airport are facing water cuts.

Water trucks have been arranged to cart water in these areas.

Nagalu said FEA is working on restoring power supply and they will have to fill the reservoirs before water supply is normalised.

Meanwhile, water engineers are still trying to find out what caused water cuts in Namadi Heights and Nakasi last night.
