The Labasa soccer team did not upset their fans at home after outclassing the Rewa side 2-0 in the last game of Day 2 of the Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants soccer tournament yesterday.

Goals by Pita Bolaitoga and Hekari United player Koriak Upaiga were enough to boost the Babasiga Lions chances of a semifinal spot from their pool.

Rewa and Lautoka also have chances of qualifying as they both have 3 points each.

Ba has 6 points and has qualified for the semifinals from their pool with Suva and Nadi both having chances of qualifying.

In yesterday’s results, Labasa defeated Rewa 2-0, Ba beat Suva 2-0, Nadi and Nadroga drew nil-all while Lautoka Beat Navua 2-0.

The last round of the BOG pool games will continue this Friday.
