The Labasa soccer side hopes to continue where they left off at the Courts IDC at Churchill Park today.

The Babasiga Lions defeated hosts Lautoka 2-1 in their second match last night and goal scorer Pita Bolaitoga said they are satisfied with their performances so far.


After their loss, Lautoka defender Ilaitia Tuilau said the Blues still has a chance and will work hard in their last pool match against Ba.


Ba and Labasa both have 4 points but the Men in Black now lead pool 1 with a better goal average while Rewa and Lautoka both have one point each.

Suva leads pool 2 with 4 points after holding Navua 1-all.

The four semifinalists will only be decided after the final round of games today.

Meanwhile, the Premier finals have been confirmed as the Northerners proved everyone wrong when two northern teams qualified for the finals.

Dreketi will clash with Taveuni in the final after defeating Rakiraki 2-0 while Taveuni upset Nasinu 2-0 in the second semifinal.
