The Labasa Chamber of Commerce is now focusing on promoting other industries even though many people in the town area dependent on the Sugar Industry.
Vice President, Yogesh Kapadia said at the moment, Agricultural based businesses are now an area they are looking at as there is alot of land available.
However, Kapadia said their economy at the moment is stagnant and this is a worrying trend for the small town.
