An ardent Labasa soccer fan has written to the Fiji Times questioning why they have depicted the Labasa soccer team as a goat in their cartoon when the mascot is a lion.
Nilesh Lal who is also a former Labasa soccer administrator says this has not happened for the first time and they want an apology and an explanation as to why Labasa soccer has been represented as a goat.
Lal has not ruled out the possibility of taking the matter to the Media Industry Development Authority.
We have contacted Fiji Times Editor, Fred Wesley who says he is looking into the issue and appropriate action will be taken.
Labasa won the Vodafone Fiji Fact last weekend at Prince Charles Park.
