Labasa Mayor, Doctor Pradeep Singh has confirmed that they are experiencing slight rain.
He said businesspeople in Labasa town are taking heed of the hurricane warning and are preparing themselves for the worst.
A tree has fallen near Namulomulo on the main road from Nabouwalu to Labasa and PWD officials are currently trying to clear the road. In Bua, rain has stopped in the last hour. However people are experiencing strong winds.
