The Labasa soccer team defeated Suva 3-1 in front of their home crowd in the National Soccer League competition this afternoon.

New Zealand based Roy Krishna was the star for the side scoring two goals while Ajesh Narayan managed the third.

After today's win, Labasa now has 13 points and moved to ninth place on the points standings while Nadi is now sitting at the bottom of the table with 11 points.

It was also a good start for the team's new technical adviser Anand Sami, who is preparing a good Labasa side for the Courts Homcentres IDC next month.

Labasa will now face Nasinu tomorrow at 1:30pm at Subrail Park.

Meanwhile, in another match tomorrow Nadi hosts Navua at 3pm at Prince Charles Park.
