Sailimone Ravonokula was the hero for Labasa as he scored the winning goal to beat Nadi 1-0 at Subrail Park this evening.
Both teams were tied nil-all at halftime.
Ravonokula scored for the Babasiga Lions late into the second half.
Labasa coach Ravneel Pratap says three points gained from this game is a boost for the team.
He says the team are playing possession-based football and converting them into goals, but there are still some things they need to improve on, especially, when it comes to goal-scoring opportunities.
The match was supposed to start at 3.30pm, however, due to Nadi’s flight delays, the match kicked off at 4.15pm.
