A major police investigation is underway in Labasa after allegations that a 12 year old student was allegedly gang raped by seven men.
Assistant Police Spokesperson, Atunasia Sokomuri has confirmed a report has been lodged however he says details are sketchy.
Reliable Police sources have confirmed that the girl who is from Bua went to spend her Christmas at a relative’s house in Dreketi when she was allegedly gang raped by seven men.
She sustained injuries during the brutal attack and investigations are underway to arrest those who are involved in the rape.
Police believe the seven men were under the influence of liquor when the alleged incident took place.
