The Mayor of Labasa said he sees no problem in giving the Mayoral Chambers to the National Council for Building a Better Fiji Team to get people's views on the People's Charter.
Doctor Pradeep Singh said the Labasa Town Council supports the People's Charter process and will assist the NCBBF team in any way it can.
On the other hand, Suva Lord Mayor Ratu Peni Volavola has called on the President of the Fiji Local Government Association Rajeshwar Kumar to speak for only himself.
Kumar said this morning that majority of the mayors in the country support the People's Charter process.
Ratu Peni said the mayors had told Kumar to participate in the National Council for Building a Better Fiji as the Nasinu mayor not as the President of the Fiji Local Government Association.
Ratu Peni added he has not seen the draft copy of the consultation document and it is too early to say whether he supports the People's Charter process.
