The Labasa Magistrates Court has sentenced a 32 year old man to seven months imprisonment for allegedly indecently annoying his 18 year old sister.
The brother pleaded guilty to the charge before Magistrate Penijamini Lomaloma.
The incident took place last week when the man and his sister went to catch prawns in a nearby river.
The brother proposed to have a physical relationship with the sister and upon refusal he kept on annoying her.
The 18 year old sister managed to escape from the area and reported the matter to Police.
