Labasa, Ba To Feature In BOG Final
The Vodafone Labasa soccer team remains favourites to win the BOG after they defeated the Power Electric Suva side 3-2 in the first semi-final this morning.
Although the Capital City side scored first from a freekick in the 23rd minute of the first half to captain Saimata Chillie before they increased their lead in the 4th minute of the second half through Rodrick Kumar. However the Babasiga Lions came back strongly with two goals to Roy Krishna and Apisalome Turuva.
Labasa technical adviser Anand Sami said the win shows the determination of his players who did not give up despite being 2 nil down.
In the second semifinal it was the Vodafone Ba side that beat the Southern Forest Navua 1-0. Tuimasi Manuca scored the winning goal in the 25th minute of the second half after a miss understanding in the Navua defence.
