The Vodafone Labasa soccer team is aiming to start the FMF/Blue Gas Battle of the Giants soccer tournament on a high note.

The Babasiga Lions will be relying on home ground advantage to give them the edge over a determined Nasinu soccer side who are raring to dethrone the champions on their own turf.

Labasa Soccer official Abinesh Kumar said that the support of the home crowd has always boosted the morale of the Babasiga boys - one which they will be totally relying on in this first round of the FMF Blue Gas BOG tournament.

Kumar adds the competition will be tough as all teams will be fielding their best in the next two weeks - to lay their hands on the prestigious Silverware at the end of the tourney in Suva next week.

He  said all preparations have been done and they are ready to register the first three points from the Nasinu match.

Kumar said Australian based Technical Adviser Anand Sami has ironed out all the mistakes and his players are eager to take the field.

The Labasa/Nasinu match will kickoff tomorrow at 1:30pm at Subrail Park. You can catch the live commentary of the match on our sister station Radio Sargam.
