The Labasa Soccer Association has charged nine of its players together with some officials for allegedly bringing disrepute to the team.

President Sheik Ibrahim said the nine players also including some senior players will face the disciplinary committee tomorrow.

Ibrahim said the Babasiga Lions dismal performance in the Inkk Mobile BOG and yesterday’s 3-0 loss to Nasinu in the National Soccer League match will not be taken lightly and those involved in bringing disrepute to the team will now face the consequences.

With just a month now remaining for the Courts Homecentres Inter District Championship, things are not looking good in the Babasiga Lions camp with coach Epeli Levaci also getting the boot last week.

The Association has appointed Bal Sarju Reddy as Labasa’s new coach who will now prepare the team for the IDC and remaining National Soccer League games.

Meanwhile, the pool draws for the IDC will be done this Thursday.

Ba, who are the hosts and Navua who are the defending champions will be seeded first in different pools after which eight other super premier teams will be drawn.

Pool draws for the Premier division with the Primary and Secondary schools will also take place at 11.30am this Thursday at the Courts Samabula branch.
