The Land Transport Authority (LTA) is going out to villages to raise awareness amongst the people about the recent increase in bus fares after much confusion over the issue.
Media Manager Ratu Eroni Volavola said that they are telling people why fares have been increased, by how much and what should be the fare in their area.
Volavola said that they have a team in the Central/Eastern Division, one in the north and one in the western division raising awareness and if the need arises, they will have more than one team in certain communities.
Bus fares increased two weeks ago however many people are still in the dark about how much they should be charged.
