Five middle management staff of the Land Transport Authority will be suspended soon for allegations of corruption.
Works Ministry Spokesperson, Sainiana Waqainabete said apart from this five, there are another 15 who are still under investigation.
The Ministry has called on members of the public to come forward to them if they have ever been requested to pay or give money to an LTA officer in return for favours.
According to Waqainabete, the Prime Minister=s office also requested for an investigation into LTA after receiving complaints from the members of the public.
Meanwhile, some employees of Public Works Department are also being investigated for allegedly selling tools, pipes and scrap metal from a PWD depot.
She said the Ministry will forward the matter to police for investigations.
