Twenty buses around the country have been suspended from providing services.

Land Transport Authority Media Officer Dorine Narayan said they are focusing on bus defects as part of LTA’s nationwide bus fleet inspection and certain time frame has been given to these bus companies to carry out the necessary repair and maintenance work.

She also said they have received a number of complaints in relation to bus timetables and overloading of passengers.

She added that after inspection they will be carrying out similar inspections on taxis and mini-vans to ensure that they are in a good running condition.
