“We have not received any complaints from any of the schools in Ba regarding shortage of buses.”

This is according to Land Transport Authority CEO Naisa Tuinaceva after the Ba Empire Bus Company raised concerns that students are being affected due to the shortage of buses as their companies whole fleet has been grounded since Tuesday.

Tuinaceva said before grounding the company’s buses, other buses were arranged to service the routes of Empire Buses.

Empire Bus Director Arjit Singh claimed they have been receiving calls from schools around Ba where they have been providing services as the students are arriving late to school and also finding problems going home.

Singh also added their 14 buses were grounded on Tuesday and they are requesting LTA to issue them a defect order so that they can address the problem.

Tuinaceva in response to that said the defect order was given to them on the first audit.

He said once the buses are ready the company can get it passed by the LTA officers in Ba.
