The Land Transport Authority is ensuring that all buses have two emergency exits as their bus inspections continue.
Following major bus accident in Malaqereqere Sigatoka which claimed twelve lives the LTA, is now ensuring that glass window buses now have two exists on either side left and right.
Spokesperson, Doreen Narayan said inspections for buses are done annually, and this is a component that they are ensuring is implemented by the bus companies for the safety of the travelling public.
Meanwhile, many older model wooden buses still run on our roads everyday, however LTA had earlier issued directive for bus companies to ensure new model of buses are introduced in the country with more than one exit point.
