The Land Transport Authority (LTA) is awaiting a report from its Officers from the Northern Division in relation to the horrific accident in Lomaloma Savusavu earlier today which claimed the life of a man.
Cheif Executive Officer Etuate Koroi confirmed the two officers have compiled a report in relation to the accident and they should be in Suva by this evening.
Koroi said he will only comment once he gets the full report from his officers.
Meanwhile, Police have already confirmed the digger that fell from a 10 wheeler truck smashing into a company vehicle, was not properly secured.
Police Spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed a team of Police Officers are conducting the necessary investigations.
A man in his early 20's died instantly when the digger fell on the car he was driving. Three other passengers have been admitted at the Labasa hospital with one confirmed as being serious.
