The Land Transport Authority inspectors have been directed by Chief Executive Officer Etuate Koroi to investigate the bus fire in Sigatoka yesterday afternoon.
When contacted this morning, Koroi said he is in Labasa however he is aware about this incident.
He said he is not in the position to make further comments until the investigations are done.
Koroi added he has also directed LTA officials to conduct checks on all buses after the tragic bus accident in Navuevu, Sigatoka, claimed 12 lives.
Meanwhile, the owner of Maharaj Buses is on his way to Sigatoka to inspect his bus which caught fire yesterday afternoon.
