In an attempt to try and resolve the long standing transportation problems faced by people in rural areas, the Land Transport Authority will deregulate transport services in selected areas around the country.
Transport Ministry's Media Officer Sainiana Waqainabete said this follows major concerns from many rural communities and a study undertaken in the Central, Western and Northern Divisions.
Waqainabete said submissions from interested people who want to provide services in the designated areas are being analyzed.
