The Land Transport Authority (LTA) and Ministry of Transport are currently carrying out a review of the Road Transportation Industry.
LTA's Financial Controller, Willie Wong said the review started a week ago and the consultancy team will be compiling a report which will be handed to Cabinet.
Wong said road safety is paramount and it is important to update the legislation.
Meanwhile, Wong said concerns are often raised by drivers that they are being booked unnecessarily however he said these bookings should not be seen as money out of the pocket but should be taken as a lesson.
