Lelean Memorial school’s Under 18 rugby team’s tour will strengthen the ties with their sister school in New Zealand.
That’s the comment from Lelean principal Aisea Rarokoliwa today after receiving a $4000 cheque from Digicel to help with the tour.
Rarokoliwa said the Under 18 will play three 15s matches and two 7s matches later this month.
49 players will make the trip to New Zealand and most of them academy students after they fundraised for the tour.
Digicel also confirmed today that they will continue to sponsor Lelean in the future as the school have groomed players like Waisale Serevi, Kameli Ratuvou, Seremaia Bai, Napolioni Nalaga and Alipate Ratini.
