Fiji born Brumbies center, Tevita Kuridrani will be out for two months after a shoulder injury.

Kuridrani suffered a serious shoulder injury in the Brumbies vs Waratahs match on Sunday.

Meanwhile Waratahs forward Jacques Potgieter has been fined 10,000 Australian dollars for a homophobic slur and has apologised over the incident.

The Australian Rugby Union handed out the penalty with an additional $10,000 Australian suspended fine.

The Waratahs won the match 28‑13 but all the talk centred on the complaints of Brumbies vice-captain David Pocock, who twice informed referee Craig Joubert of gay slurs from the Waratahs, while in the background another Brumbies player could be heard yelling “blue number 6”, the jersey worn by Potgieter.

Pocock is a strong advocate for equal rights.

28‑year‑old Potgieter has not been suspended from any games and is expected to play against the Blues in Sydney.

The Waratahs meet the Blues at 8.40pm this Saturday.
