Kundan Singh Bowser Robbed
Police detectives are still at the scene.
Samabula police confirmed that there was a robbery and stolen were cash and other items.
It is believed that the same group was involved in a robbery in Nakasi before the robbery at the Kundan Service Station.
Meanwhile, police have again warned members of the public to refrain from assaulting police officers as it is a serious crime and those caught can pay a heavy penalty.
The call comes after a security officer allegedly assaulted two on-duty police officers over the weekend.
Police spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri urged people to respect police officers for the work they do for the country. He added they will not tolerate such incidents.
Charges have been laid on the 48-year-old security officer from Suva who allegedly punched two traffic officers who were booking him for speeding in Nawai, Nadi.
The man was stopped by the two officers after they caught him speeding. While writing the man's details and questioning him, the man allegedly punched both officers.
It was confirmed that one officer received a cut on his chin, while the second officer received a cut on his tongue and had a swollen face.
