Kunatuba given temporary position
The Fiji Prisons and Corrections Service has announced the promotion of four of its officers to act in positions, and Fiji Prison's Correctional Services Media Liaison Officer Fred Elbourne confirmed that one of the appointments is that of Kunatuba who was approached by the Commissioner of Prisons to relieve the current Director Education Salote Panapasa, who is away in Hawaii attending a security course.
Elbourne said while Kunatuba has been heavily involved in their yellow ribbon campaign on a volunteer basis, he will however be getting paid in the acting position for three months.
Other appointments include Assistant Commissioner Prisons Operations Orisi Katonibau who will act as Deputy Commissioner Prison as the current Deputy Commissioner Auta Moceisuva is also away for three months in Hawaii.
Major Etika Mosese Kaurasi who is on attachment from the RFMF is the new Acting Assistant Commissioner of Prisons.
