Vodafone Fiji 7s quest of winning the South Africa 7s title has been dealt with a major blow after Semi Kunatani was ruled out of the tournament.

Kunatani sustained a concussion in their 26-7 victory over Canada this morning.

Coach Ben Ryan has thanked Canadian play maker Ciaran Hearn for putting Kunatani into a recovery position a few seconds after his awkward fall and has assured fans via Twitter that the Naqalimare, Navosa lad was up talking in the changing room after their game.

Fiji will now meet Australia in the Cup quarter finals at 11.41 tonight while the first quarter finals between South Africa and England will kick off at 11.19pm.

The national side beat France 45-5 in their first pool game, defeated Canada 26-7 before escaping a 19-12 win over Scotland this morning.

If Fiji beats Australia in the quarters they will meet either South Africa or England in the semifinals.

The Cup semifinals will be held at 3.39 tomorrow morning while the Cup final will be played at 6.30am.
