New Zealand based Navua soccer team player, Salesh Kumar will miss the Champions league matches due to work commitments.

The deadly midfielder will surely be missed by the Southerners as Navua lacks depth in the mid-field and will have an uphill battle in tomorrow’s match against Rewa.

Kumar had shown keen interest to join Navua for the Champions league matches but the lanky mid-fielder could only come for weekends in Fiji as he is tied up with work commitments.

Navua soccer officials and players have a daunting task at hand now as the match against Rewa is crucial and a loss will slim their chances of winning the prestigious title for the first time.

Navua which went down to Ba by 2-1 in the first match will play Rewa at 6.30pm tomorrow at Ratu Cakobau Park.

In another Champions league match, Ba takes on Lautoka at Churchill Park tomorrow.

The match kicks off at 7pm and you can catch a live commentary on our sister station, Radio Sargam.
