In close to ten days time, the public will be able to see the creativity of high school students when the 2010 Kula Film Awards kick starts.

The Kula Film Awards which started in 2006 sees schools take part in dancing competitions as well as in short film categories where the winner is chosen by the public and will also showcase dances in three categories from Hindi, to Western dancing to traditional Fijian dances.

Fiji Audio Visual Acting Chief Executive, Florence Swamy said they have been visiting schools participating and have noted an increase in interest.

This year, over twenty five schools will be showcasing their creative skills in the short film category.
