Hollywood make way for Bulawood.

This was today unveiled by the Fiji Audio Visual Commission (FAVC) at the official launching of the 2008 TFL-Fiji Kula awards.

Speaking at the launching, FAVC Chief Executive Officer Dan Bolea said that Fiji has adopted the name so that it would be synonymous with Hollywood but with a Fijian flair.

Meanwhile, major sponsor for the Awards, Telecom Fiji Limited Chief Executive Taito Tabaleka said the event has this year grown to include two schools, Labasa Sangam and Saint Bedes College from the North, which shows the interest of locals in the movie making world.
