Lepani Kubu, a member of the Lautoka Indo-Rugby Club, has been drafted into the India 7s team and will be leaving our shores tomorrow for India.
Lepani has an Indo-Fijian mum and hails from Lomolomo in Lautoka.
Fiji Rugby Union Development Officer, Solomoni Finau has confirmed that Lepani has to be in Mumbai by Sunday and goes straight into camp for the Asian Games in June.
Finau confirmed that Lepani will be on trial for the first three months and if his performance is beyond expectation, then the India Rugby Union will keep him for the Commonwealth Games in Delhi in 2010.
Lepani was selected by India Rugby Coach, Usa Biumaiwai during the Marist 7s in Suva in March.
