Wellington Phoenix soccer side is the new A‑League leaders after a brace from Fiji’s Roy Krishna lifted them to a 2‑1 victory over Perth Glory last night.

Krishna found the net first in the 23rd minute.

The Fijian striker produced the match‑winning goal in the 78th minute, shaking off Glory defender Scott Jamieson before sneaking a sweet left‑foot strike past the goalkeeper at the near post.

Krishna now has nine goals for the season, putting him four behind Sydney’s Marc Janko in the race for the golden boot.
