Top Fijian striker, Roy Krishna who plays for Wellington Phoenix in the A-League has been ruled out for tonight’s match against Adelaide United.
Krishna who scored the crucial goal for Phoenix in their last match against Western Sydney Wanderers is out with a hamstring injury.
It’s not known how long Krishna would be out of action.
Krishna who is originally from Siberia, Labasa has scored five goals so far for Wellington Phoenix in the A-League this season.
Meanwhile, in an earlier interview with Stuff.co Krishna said his family and friends in Fiji are really proud of him.
Krishna said he is hoping to score more goals.
The former Labasa soccer striker said it's really hard training‑wise and being away from families but he has to work and make his family and country proud.
Krishna is only the third Pacific Islander to play in the A‑League however he is the only Pacific Islander who has scored in the A-League competition.
