New star of the A-League, Roy Krishna is more than likely to lead the Fiji soccer team against Wellington Phoenix this Saturday.
27-year-old Krishna has been in sensational form just in his first season with the Wellington Phoenix after scoring nine goals in the last 24 matches.
Fiji soccer coach, Carlos Buzzetti says he needs to discuss this but they are thinking of giving captain’s role to Krishna.
This is also the first time in three years that the Fiji soccer team is being assembled and soccer fans are expected to witness a high quality match.
Some of the players who are expected to be in Fiji’s starting line-up include Akuila Mateisuva, Taniela Waqa, Alvin Singh, Osea Vakatalesau, Roy Krishna and Samuela Kautoga.
Fiji will play Wellington Phoenix at 5.30pm this Saturday at the ANZ Stadium and you can catch the live commentary on our sister station, Radio Sargam.
Meanwhile, the Fiji Under-23 soccer team will play Wellington Phoenix Premiers at 2.30pm.
